Police confirm that Mischa Barton was removed from her West Hollywood home Wednesday, after a non-911 call was placed from her residence. “We responded to her home last night on a medical issue. We assisted with it. She was removed from her home.”, officer April Harding tells Us. Access Hollywood reports she was actually placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold before being transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Barton’s rep Craig Schneider stated: “Police were involved due to Ms. Barton’s celebrity status; to ensure her safe transfer to medical treatment for which she remains hospitalized as per the recommendation of her doctor.” The O.C. astar was forced to miss last night’s New York premiere of her new film The Homecoming.
