Robert Pattinson doesn’t have that much to complain about when it comes to the paycheck or the rocket to fame that is the “Twilight” franchise, but not everything is that fun about being Edward Cullen.
The star told OK magazine the worst thing about his role was: “wearing colored contact lenses. It was like I constantly had sand in my eyes.
“I was wearing them for three months and my eyes never ever accepted them! It took me 20 minutes per eye every single day and I ended up having to literally fold it into my eyeball.
“It was frustrating as well because normally your eyes are saying something, but if you’ve got two orange blobs in your face it’s so annoying! The director would say: ‘Look like you love her,’ and I’d be like: ‘I’m trying!’”
His co-stars, however, were among the best parts of the film.
“Probably the best thing was that it was a young cast and everyone was on set all the time. They were all really good people to spend time with.
“And I learned how to drive as well. I did it in ten hours on a crash course and got an international licence. It’s ridiculous!”
“New Moon” is set for a Nov. 21 release and filming of “Eclipse” starts up next month.
