Yet another reason to hate Tom Cruise. Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise have booked a $27,500-a-night suite for their temporary move to Australia. No word on whether they will actually be footing that bill or whether their fame is payment enough.
The couple will relocate to Melbourne next month while Holmes films her new movie, “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” and will stay at fellow Scientologist James Packer’s hotel, Crown Towers. They’re expected to take up the entire 39th floor of the five-star hotel.
The little family (three-year-old Suri will be along for the ride, of course) will have panoramic views of the city, a butler and a nanny on call 24 hours a day.
The suite has four huge bedrooms, a private elevator marble-lined bathrooms and state-of-the-art kitchens. It’s being refurbished in anticipation of the couple’s arrival.
Holmes said she’s excited about the move and working on the new movie.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” she said. “The movie is really character-driven. It’s really her journey becoming a mother. In the midst of that, there are unexpected scares.”
