Kara DioGuardi’s song dropped from ‘Idol’ tour

kara_dioguardi1Kris Allen may be America’s Idol, but his victory anthem is no winner.

The Kara DioGuardi-penned song has been dropped from the “American Idol” live show after just a few nights of concerts, according to fan reports. The tour began in Portland last Sunday and has the top 10 performers from the eighth season.

“No Boundaries” was co-written by the new “Idol” judge, expressly written for the winner to sing this year on the show’s finale and met with thorough disapproval.

Before, the victory songs have gone on to be hit singles, including Kelly Clarkson’s “A Moment Like This.”

But “No Boundaries” was reportedly getting such a poor audience response during the concert that, without comment, Allen was told to find a new song to replace it.
