Farrah Fawcett’s son Redmond O’Neal wasn’t able to be at his mother’s side when she died yesterday of cancer, but he has been given permission by prison officials to attend the funeral.
O’Neal, who is in an intensive drug treatment facility in a remote California prison, got to visit his mother twice since he headed to jail in April.
Commissioner Jane Godfrey has signed a removal order which allows O’Neal to attend his late mother’s funeral, according to RadarOnline.
O’Neal will be allowed to wear a suit rather than his jail clothing to pay his last respects.
In a progress report hearing last month Godfrey declared O’Neal was “responding well” to drug treatment. He’s due back in court in July.
A date for Fawcett’s funeral has yet to be announced.
