Tim Burton knows how to flip a genre on its head and he’s set to do it again with his version of “Alice in Wonderland.”
The latest batch of concept art shows how the story has been “Burton-ized” as producer Richard Zanuck it.
In Burton’s version, written by Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast), Alice (played by Anne Hathaway), 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. She then runs after a white rabbit, into a hole and into Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn’t remember.
Wonderland is set to hit theaters March 5, 2010. Check out the photos below:
