Taylor Lautner makes all the best promises. The “New Moon” star swears that fans will plenty of his naked chest in the upcoming “Twilight” sequel.
When Rotten Tomatoes asked the actor, who plays werewolf Jacob Black, how much of New Moon he spends shirtless he replied: “I’d say the same as the books. I’m not going to give you a specific percent, but the great things about this series and the movies is, we stay true to the books.
“So if you read the books, you know what the movie’s going to look like.”
Fans will also see him sans the icky long hair of the first movie.
Lautner was thrilled to lose the long wig he had to wear in the first film.
“(When I) wrapped the wig; that was amazing. The whole crew gave applause. I was so happy. They’re like, ‘So, do you want to keep it?’ I said, ‘If you give it to me, I will probably burn it,’” he said.
The actor also sang the praises of director Chris Weitz.
“What I love about Chris is, the set is very calm and we’re just having a lot of fun making the movie,” said Lautner.
“And then you sit back and you look at the results that are happening, and it looks amazing so far. I’m so excited to see it. You’re like, ‘How are we having such an easygoing, relaxed time making this movie, and it’s turning out the way it is?’ At the same time, the conversations with Catherine, she just related to us so well. So does Chris. They’re both talented directors, and I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to work with both of them.”
