The Spelling family feud has another fighter. Tori Spelling’s husband Dean McDermott has weighed in on his mother-in-law Candy Spelling after she spoke out against the couple’s reality show. McDermott denied they use their kids as “props” for TV.
Candy and Tori have been going at it for ages, each taking their turn in the tabloid spotlight. See, I just fight via text message.
Candy reignited their war of words in July by slamming her daughter and McDermott for documenting their lives in reality show “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood” through an email to celebrity site TMZ.com, accusing the couple of using family issues to create dramatic plots for the series.
Spelling, who has never met her second grandchild Stella, insisted she would not attend a filmed birthday party for the tot because she felt the children were used as “reality show props.” She warned the pair that they would “regret” their actions in the future.
McDermott told TMZ.com, “We don’t use our children as props, we take really good care of our children, we love our children… everyone’s entitled to their opinion.”
