Leona Lewis' attacker was a man who was rejected by X-Factor, the show that Lewis won back in 2008.
Lewis won the British television talent show in 2008 and has since risen to international stardom. She was in London signing copies of her autobiography, Dreams, when a man came up to her and punched her in the face. Now, the man is being identified as Peter Kowalczyk.  Kowalczyk apparently became jealous after watching Lewis win the show and became so enraged he decided to attack her. He is currently being examined in a psychiatric hospital after he was arrested and charged with assault at the scene.
