Michael Phelps was recently in a car accident in Baltimore that totaled his Cadillac Escalade. It was previously reported that Michael ran a red light and smashed into a Honda Accord that sent the woman behind the wheel to the hospital.
Now, Michael has told cops that he did have a beer before getting behind the wheel. It's not known yet if he was over or under the legal limit. Also, he was cited for driving with an expired license which will require him to appear before a judge.
