Madonna converts Mercy

madonna2Get the red strings ready. Madonna took her new daughter Mercy to a Kabbalah meeting when she arrived in London Saturday.

The four-year-old flew from Malawi to London to join her new mother and within hours of touching ground, the child was taken to a Kabbalah center for her first lesson in the Jewish-based faith, along with her new siblings, Lourdes, Rocco and David.

Madonna’s ex-husband Guy Ritchie was also at the centre when Mercy arrived. The family spent an hour at the center before heading to the family mansion in Mayfair.

Guy then took Rocco and David to his home in Wiltshire while Madonna bonded with Mercy.

Mercy’s biological father, James Kambewa, however, isn’t so happy about the situation.

The 21-year-old man told Britain’s The Daily Mirror newspaper: “My Mercy is gone. Madonna has used her money and power but my blood lives in Mercy for ever and ever. There is nothing I can do now.”

Madonna won custody of Mercy two weeks ago, after a long court battle. The singer was expected to fly to Malawi to pick up Mercy, but instead had her staff deliver the girl to the UK.

The family is expected to stay in London for a few days before returning to Madonna’s home in New York. And in about a month, Madonna will take off on a world tour, leaving Mercy (and the rest of her kids) in the custody of nannies.
